Shaike Munzoo was born Ricahard Osei Bonsu on On 27th December. Shaike is into rap music, HipLife, Hip Hop and Dancehall. Aside the genres mentioned above, Shaike tries his best to fit into any genre when the chance arises
Shaike started drumming in his Junior High School days at Bawku for a band. He played for Rev. Eastwood Anaaba’s Church in Bolgatanga and was the drummer for the church then.
During his High School days at Konongo-Odumase SHS (KOSS), he developed interest in variety of shows and won at most of the rap and freestyle events.
Music became a major for Shaike Munzoo in 2008 when he formed his own clique, C.R.M (Cemetery Rap Music) and started producing his own songs together with his friend Isita Khalongi.
He recorded his first studio track in 2015 titled “Blood Music” which was produced by Phredxter a.k.a Zeus, a video for the song followed that same year, He later recorded couple of
singles and released some till now.
Munzoo has featured artistes like Cabum, Kwame Baah , LJ, Pampi Judah from Jamaica and other upcoming artistes on many released and unreleased songs.
In our interview with him,he mentioned a project he is working on which will be due to be released in 2018, He it is his first Album (EP) , titled MAYANKA PRIEST. According to him the titled was brought up by his in-house Producer, Phredxter in a conversation. First it was a title for one of his songs then later emerged as the title for the EP.
He went on to say that, he grew up in different places in Ghana and most of places where the Zongo communities. He automatically became one of them (Northerner) since most of the people were his friends.
The title Mayanka Preist indicates the good and bad deeds he derived from the slums and hoods in Ghana known as Zongo. He further went on to explain how he treat every instrumental given to him to execute which he does perfectly.
“Mayanka” is a Hausa word which means “Slaughter house” The EP is a mixture of Hip hop, Dancehall and Hiplife.
Shaike Munzoo sings and raps in Twi,Hausa,pidgin,a little Patoa and English .This been his first album (EP),he stated he won’t disappoint his fans. Anticipate for the EP which comes off next year 2018.
